Paul Havey - America's Storyteller
As a kid I remember the radio on top of the refrigerator at my grandparents house. It mostly played music but I remember hearing this 'old guy' telling stories. It always ended with 'And now you know the Rest of the story.'
Of course I'm referring to Paul Harvey. At the time, I did not appreciate the stories. Now I enjoy reading and hearing, 'The rest of the story.'
For those who have never heard of this American hero, he has so many accomplishments they are too numerous to mention. A quick look on his Wiki page shows a list of achievements and honors to make any mom proud.
He has a way of telling a story in 2-3 minutes that both captures the interest of the listener but also teaches values and history all at the same time. The best part is, you get to learn while being entertained.
The Passing of A Legend
For those who did not know, he died almost a year ago but he left behind a legacy that will be enjoyed for generations. Those stories live today and are just as enjoyable as they were when I was a kid.
Podcasts Online
I'd love to share with all my friends a treasure I found online. It is a collection of Podcasts of Paul Harvey clips. I have spent hours listening to stories from Charles Dickens to Charles Bronson and more. Go enjoy and share with friends who will enjoy the rest of the story.
